Sleep? Us? Never! We've hit the ground running in 2024 and have so much planned!
In February, we went to Leicester Comedy Festival with three shows - Strictly Barking, Clown Radio and Sailing By. It was our first time in the city and it was great to explore the place. We also had a day trip to Nottingham to look at the castle and see the oldest pub in the UK, which is built into caves.
The shows were performed in Leicester Guildhall, a beautiful listed building - where Shakespeare himself performed. We're sure he would have been pleased to have tread the same boards as Hogarth and Easy Peeler. Our favourite moment from the festival was overhearing a kid in the audience for Strictly Barking say to her parents after the show "I'M SO HAPPY. THAT WAS THE BEST!". Hearing how much kids like the story and the show means so much to both of us.
Also, Shakespeare must have been pleased enough, as Strictly Barking was a finalist for Best Kids Show at the festival for 2024! A great start to the year.

After Leicester, Jon christened Sailing By, naming it Old Man. And it is with this new name we went to bonnie Scotland for the Glasgow International Comedy Festival in March.
In a whirlwind two days we performed Old Man, Clown Radio and did a preview of our new sketch comedy show, MIME CLUB. All three shows were performed in the Flying Duck, which was also the official after-party bar for the festival. We had brilliant audiences and it was great to see people responding to the new material. Glasgow is known as the funniest city in the world and we'd have to agree - and it's also a fun place in general. We'll definitely be back!

There are plenty of plans for the summer. Jon and Ollie will be performing Scotland! with The Latebloomers in France, notable for the Off-Avignon Festival. And MIME CLUB will be having it's official world premier at Gilded Balloon for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival! Check out the ticket page for more information.
There's also more news, but we'll share more on that soon.
Thanks for reading, until next time.
